Transitioning with the Batch 11 last year, MPEFB took a different approach to pedagogy and delivery, leveraging state-of-the-art technology led innovations spearheaded by IIMB. MPEFB
henceforth will be offered in a blended model with online and in-campus lectures and videos.
IIMB has taken a lead in creating many courses for MOOCs (Massive open online courses) and its courses have provided to be popular with the students and learners across the globe, not just in India. MPEFB batch 11 curriculum has been designed around MOOCs. This self-paced methodology prepares the participants on a life-long journey of learning and it is a skill that will stay with them long after the MPEFB course is delivered.
MOOC is a distinctive model of educational content delivery through online medium for all. Each learning sequence is composed of tutorial videos interspersed with interactive learning exercises, where students can immediately practice the concepts learned from the videos. The tutorial videos are aided with online discussion forums where students can post and review questions and comments to each other and teaching assistants. There are check points where students can assess their progress with respect to topics covered. Relevant links will also be provided for reference after each lecture video.
MPEFB 11 will be delivered over five modules. The Module-2 covering ‘Mastering functional Management’ will be delivered through MOOCs and remaining modules will be delivered through classroom sessions at IMB campus.
